I had to work hard all the week and to finish my
research paper quickly in order to go to Aberdeen to see Stereophonics. It has been a strong charge of optimism and good mood. Jones and friends continue delivering positive emotions to the crowds.
Stereophonics were incredibly generous: 26 songs in a set list, which means 26 portions of joy. They started with Trouble, then were 1000 Trees and Tramps Vest. For me, the most powerful thing was Superman: this song is a rather stylish thing, and I like how the guitar sounds in it.
Kelly Jones has the voice which you can not confuse with something else: it sounds mainstream-like, but it is still individual. I liked when Kelly sang high notes and his voice sounded hoarse: it was like a screech of emotions.
On the whole, I liked the crowd. Not surprisingly, they met hits more enthusiastically, but I am not irritated about that: I think it is good that people who know Stereophonics for a few songs still decided to come. Their music brings good mood and joy, it is as sunny as the cover of their
fifth album , my favorite one:
Unfortunately, I did not manage to walk and see Aberdeen, as I had to write a couple of
college term papers, but I think what I saw at Aberdeen Exhibition Conference Centre was the most interesting thing in Aberdeen that evening.
